Firstly, the most important decision to make is your dress. This will be the statement piece that will define your own character and help you stand out of the crowd. Take a look at our body shape chart to view what will be the best style to compliment your body shape. If you have a mermaid silhouette then possibly consider an hour-glass design or if you have what we call a pear shape then perhaps consider an empire line design which will proportion your body. You want to create a more classic glam look with a touch of contemporary rather than the latest trend. Remember girls… you will be looking back at these pictures years later so creating a classic look is the best option.

A great way to get inspiration is to look through some magazines and also the red carpet, see what celebs are wearing…

Once you have decided on your beautiful prom dress, you will need to choose your shoes and bag. Gold or Silver is always a great option, these two colours compliment any colour or style and are easily matched.

Then your accessories - at beflirty our dresses are embellished with enough sparkle so there is no need to add more, possible some earrings or a cuff/bracelet for that extra bit of twinkle.

Finally, your hair and makeup needs to flatter your dress. If you have great detail on the top half of your dress, maybe consider having your hair up or to one side to show of this design. Depending on the look you want to complete you can either create something which is very goddessy, so really natural make-up and loose curls or if you prefer a slighter dramatic look then try a little darker tone but don’t over do it and remember less is more!
